In 1949 my dad opened Nevers Steak House in Seaside Heights New Jersey. Over time his small shop became a landmark and during the summers of my early years, I worked there feeding the masses. In all ways that matter Seaside was where I grew up. We closed Nevers years ago but Seaside always had a draw for me– a state of mind in a certain kind of way. Over a two year period after Hurricane Sandy, I returned to Seaside to document the rebuilding process. These are a few images from of that project.
